Excessive shorting lowers a stock's price. Lower devaluation results in less favorable terms on debt. Less favorable terms increases costs on debt. Increased costs on debt leads to toxic debt which directly affects the company's finances and financial performance.

The first level attack to destroy a company is to force it into major debt by driving the price of its stock to REDICULOUS low levels preventing the company from selling enough shares to pay off its major debt. This is what the shorts have illegally done to AMC Co.

The second level attack to destroy a company is to drive the price of its stock to pennies forcing the company into bankruptcy that was illegally done by shorts against Blockbuster, ToysRUs, Sears, etc, etc.
