MMs will only short if there is buying, they don’t sell it on the way down, they sell it on the way up to short, they generally do not hold pennies for days to wait for it to fall. They don’t cap it at a penny or two up, that is retail bailing after a partial recovery of the last fall. If the MMs were playing. There would bigger swings and we traders would actually be a heck of a lot happier and more profitable. While MMs often don’t play fair, they are basically not playing here at all. Common sense, easily interprets the action as retail or the lack of it. Drama, no conspiracy…
“My speculation about MMs shorting intraday for micro-profits is how they might insulate themselves against a repeat and still be able to aggressively short sell. “

If the traders/investors believed in the company. Clearly, They might try listening to the Management, which by all their misguided and uninformed complaints they are not. The only other motive is likely to discourage others from buying. Which scares away the very fresh money the supposedly they are looking to attract…
“Why would they stick with ENZC? Because traders believe in it. Always fresh money coming in.”
