ggwpq, UPDATE to my prior post about the WellCare formulary I posted with V on T-1.
I just got off the phone with a HealthNet( by WellCare) representative. She informed me that the WellCare formulary that I referred to, and posted about, is for DUAL access plans only. This means you must qualify for, and have, both Medicare and Medi-Cal/Medicaid to use those plans.
She looked up HealthNet(WellCare plans) for those like me that don’t qualify for Medi-Cal or Medicaid. The HealthNet-WellCare medicare plans have Vascepa on tier 4 and the copay is $90 for 30 days, and $270 for 90 days, no PA and no GV or GL( both are non formulary). So the HN lawsuit settlement seems to have only resulted in HN/WellCare excluding coverage for GV and possibly GL as well. Good but not great. Better than Them offering GV on T-1 or a lower tier than V.
So disregard my excitement and prior post about WellCare formulary with V on T-1 unless you qualify for Medi-Cal or Medicaid in addition to Medicare.
