Odd?

These are a few posts from a poster on BP (Porkchopranch)

- I've been a junk bond investor for over 30 years, believe me, I know how it works.
I've been through numerous restructurings, been paid numerous times post ch. 11. The money is put right into your account by DTC. Simple, seamless.

- there is not usually a "notice". But we will read about it in a filing before payment is made.

- Accredited Investors DON'T get paid first. All are equal in terms of payouts and timing. Accredited Investors have one main advantage, they can buy 144A bonds and other restricted securities. I was classified as an Accredited Investor. I was able the buy the REIT/Cayman Preferred's. The ones that are only held by the hedge funds. These did receive a payout years ago with the JPM settlement.

- Like I said, you don't have to jump through all those hoops to get paid. All WMB bondholders will be paid at the same time. All are equal. Money will hit accounts through DTC directly into brokerage accounts.

I disagree with you. Based on what I remember, he said he was paid for his common shares. To support what I say, why would so manny posters ask him how much he received for one common share without a response from him. He could have easily responded and said that the payment was for his bond holding. But there was only silence and now all we hear is it was a payment for his bonds.
