I appreciate the response, but I do not agree with your points. The identity of satoshi absolutely matters. Not caring about it is great for you personally, but for the rest of the world, it may have some unwelcomed consequences. I don't see satoshi losing any reputation if BTC fails because he has none to lose and is a fictional character.
I also don't see anything that bitcoin or crypto currencies can do for an individual that venmo, zelle, or cash app can't already do. Please tell me how crypto or bitcoin can benefit me, aside from telling me the dollar is dying, as it has been dying since 1913. How can crypto benefit an individual and not just benefit some faceless cabal? As for smart contracts, why would I want to post the title of my property on the internet? That is less private and less secure.
These faceless characters behind blockchain want everyone's business out in the open except for their own. They want everything that everyone else has, and they want it for free. It's the perverted kid routine..."I'll show you mine, if you show me yours," but they never show you theirs, lol.
