Just because one of the KIT guys is included doesn't mean that the Tier1's take him seriously. As Andy Bechtolsheim said about some of the newer competing technologies:

On a lab basis, they all have valid points. But none of them are in production, which means millions of units. In the end, if you can’t make it the millions, it’s not a solution for the market because they couldn’t ramp it.

There is just no sign that ramping is possible still, and so Tier1's aren't going to be very interested until that happens. As far as we know KIT is included in the "rump, not ramp" session as a sign of good faith to the dreaming polymer crowd out there. It doesn't mean Tier1s are at the point yet of taking them or Lightwave seriously.

Again we have what the only major report on Lightwave says:

The way you're supposed to do investment research is to speak to customers, suppliers, competitors, and former employees. As we've now demonstrated in many ways, there are precisely zero industry participants that consider polymer photonics a commercial technology. The most optimistic take that you can find is that it's an interesting technology that's still at the laboratory stage.

Until and unless Lightwave shows evidence of being taken seriously by a major Tier1, I believe they aren't, though they may well be trying to get their attention. The LOW expenses they are putting into their foundry work (just see their financials) suggests nothing substantial is happening yet with them, and if the Tier1's were funding those efforts, they certainly could say so in various ways.

KCC, as I posted yesterady here, it would be very interesting to hear what the KIT person says and how others respond to him. The very fact that they are debating 5 different technologies suggests there is no clear winner that everybody supports..would be flabbergasted to discover than in fact perkamine is considered the leader at this point by everybody in the room, or even by just one Tier1 company..Checked my own calendar about going but my Dad's having cataract surgery then and needs plenty of support.

Looking forward to your updates KCCO from the conference and Da Man! Meanwhile in Fibonacci driven algo land......see below.

Lightwave ran up from late Dec $3.91 intraday low to ~$7.42 intraday high last Thursday, Feb 2nd

Fibonacci number 38.2% comes to mind today. 0.381 (pull back) x $3.51 move up to $7.42 yields $1.34.

$7.42 - 1.34 = $6.08 we did touch $6.04, so slightly pass the 38.2% pullback from $7.42.

Hopefully we're done, and don't need a 50% pull back for their algo games.

After a couple of years on here I can say kcco7913 is a true long on here and talks facts. Doesn't hype and talk wet like a few other longs on here. Whatever he says after meeting lebby will hold alot of weight with me. Hopefully he doesn't end up sparking lebby clean out because I reckon that could be on the cards lol. Lebby gave guidance/ timeline over 9 months ago for deals/partnership/revenue.. Pick whichever you like.. Since then he's took a big bonus and still not found his pen. Been quoted numerous times on here saying timeline is intact.. Who gives guidance that far out? Through an economical crisis and 3rd world war on the sidelines. For me it stinks. And I believe Kcc07913 will have this out with him too. Safe journey and please take a pen with you for lebby lol
