Why does the company keep doing this? At this point it would be better to just not announce any expected timelines. Just say results pending or something like that. I can't recall them ever hitting on one of these timelines. q2 2024 it is... Another year gone
IMO, the trial process is about projecting actions according to a set sequence of pre-planned activities and appropriately recording results according to plan, that part is pretty obvious. When conducted according to this protocol then expected completion dates are easily managed (like boiling water @sea level...works just about every time on schedule).
I could be wrong but what are they supposed to do when they see/find new important/critical facts previously unanticipated /planned for?? In my time as a lab rat doing tests/trials I was continuously learning or confirming stuff already known/expected. Every now and then I would see/smell/gather new info (contradictions even-call them, "WAKE UP SCREAMING MOMENTS" ) which needed to be verified-validated carefully. I called it a learning moment...new knowledge, and it/they need(s) to be understood in some context.
So, IMO, Dr.M. may want to set appropriate expectations on timing (w/in reason-considering the many/many unknown-unknowns in CNS BIO-MED space). He is (we -AVXL) are on the point-"The tip of the Spear", so to speak. Another observation I made after many years of interfacing w/such-science people WW..."German scientists ... DO NOT DO HELP WELL". It will be done when he says it's done (+ or -).
