Would the Yankees have resigned Andrew Benintendi if not constrained by the Josh Donaldsn contract?

The 2023 starting lineup does not look that much different from 2022.

What's the logic of upgrading the pitching when nothing is done to address a lineup that has problems scoring runs, especially in the post-season.?
