The installation process of core drilling takes quite awhile. These won’t be installed in a fresh green concrete slab, but rather very well cured concrete. That core drilling is quite the process. I totally do not buy anything into the smart turtle concept yet because of the lack of a suitable photo cell that fits in the tiny space that has enough output to operate a transceiver 24/7.

It will do LED lights just fine though, in my opinion.

I am glad you pointed out the dirt and grime buildup degrading the performance of the light and photocell operation. I had not thought about that.

I wish you would visit the sheep in the PRDL and PMPG rooms to provide some industry clarity. They are hungry sheep desperately needing to be fed. They think their smart road turtles actually operate. (All surface mount devices) I cannot help them from themselves.
