The weather doesn't seem to be letting up down there just yet. When the cyclonic low was approaching the coast the center was at about 970mb which is the level of low pressure normally seen in the eye of a category 3 hurricane.
The atmospheric river event is sure dumping precip down there, so far we just got a little rain and a few inches of snow up by the oregon border.
The large reservoirs are filling up, but to refill aquifers, it would be nice if the rain came slower as saturation overland flow is starting to do damage. The news is saying that reservoirs are at 339% above average for the date. So everyone will have plenty of almonds this year. Safe travels.
