No doubt Tesla deserves props for designing cars that can drive off cliffs and the passengers survive. However, and this is the real negative you seem to be missing, why are they driving off cliffs in the first place? This particular Tesla was exhibiting strange behavior before its forey off Devils Slide.

"As I’m driving by, I’m like, ‘Wow, he's driving extremely fast to take that exit. You're not even supposed to be going up that way,” she said. "And I can see in my rear-view mirror this car that just go over the edge and straight down."

First problem is the Tesla is driving very fast with children. Next problem is it departed from the main path for unknown reasons, which seems not to be typical public path. Third it just keeps driving until it goes over the cliff. Really odd behaving if the driver was in control.

Lets say for a minute the driver had a heart attack. Then the car should have become somewhat erratic as the adult passenger tries to take control of the wheel. This Tesla drives straight off a cliff at high speeds based off description. Suggesting sudden uninteded acceleration and that the driver could not stop it. This has happened several times in Teslas before; in Paris, 2+ times in China, Columbus, OH, New York City. These are just the top ones I can think of.
