Maui in 1980 was not commercialized and just beautiful!
The only stop we made on the road to Hana was to have a guy at the roadside cut open a couple of coconuts and give them to us with straws to drink the fresh coconut water.
Even the destination at Hana wasn’t commercialized then.
The thought of a traffic light on that road makes me feel like remembering it like it used to be.
I bet the surfing on the north shore is still tops!
We saw some exquisite sunsets from Maui.
I understand Kauai is the lesser commercialized island, assuming Zuckerberg and Ellison left some of the top spots for the rest of us :-)
