well, most people will probably will probably stop making payments on the mortgage if they are underwater on it...some will continue to make payments, some won't....however, you get the drift of my post, an underwater equity to loan value will set up challenging conditions for the mortgagee... in banking, negative equity will result in seizure of the bank....but you know this already, .....Lodas
