If I was the company, I would pull the NOBO/OBO lists from Broadridge, then request a Stock Position Report from the DTC, then compare the two with the actual Outstanding, if there is a major discrepancy, there is a naked short, period.
Pretty sure that the company already knows that there isn't, and never was, a naked short position...
Don't forget that a new CUSIP number will oblige shorties to immediately cover their Huge NSS posiiton in $DBMM...Estimated between + 700 Million shares and 5 Billion shares !
