Well if you're here in TGLO I'd say you're well on your way to fulfilling that goal. I don't know your situation and how much debt you're in, but honestly if you're really looking to get out completely just get out of debt, find a couple of acres with a decent home that you can buy with cash, and learn to grow your own food with some chickens and a few goats if you want milk. My wife and I only have about $25k of debt left until we're free and then it's off to the homestead. We want to go north and very cold bc that keeps the Californians out. With an agriculture exemption on a couple acres you could sell eggs and goat cheese at a farmers market and pay your ~$100/ year in property taxes and just be free. The time really is now to get out of the city and let these r*tards just have it all. I live in Austin and it's a nightmare. Most people I know with functioning brains are completely done with this backwards, upside down, modern world. I didn't realize how amazing it was to grow your own food until I grew strawberries, squash, and cucumbers and there was so much we couldn't even eat it all. Scarcity is a scam that bankers and rulers NEED you to believe. Thank you for everything you've done as a nurse but it's time you start taking care of yourself. God bless and good fortunes to you.
