That gets back to the wipe out phenomenon. It’s relatively straight forward to wipe out all b-cells and now t-cells, by targeting an antigen that is on every one. The body can survive without b or T cells for a while (eventually needing a transplant), but a patient, for instance, can’t survive without Brain cells. You can’t wipe out the brain and start over. So different tactics must be employed.
