I agree, but in fact our regulators only occasionally choose to enforce the law if ever. If a law is passed, but never enforced, is it really a law. I believe we still have laws against tying up horses and spitting on the street, we really should eliminate laws that will never again be enforced. If the SEC isn't going to enforce laws or regulations they really should be stricken from the books.

Our current political leadership (both parties) seems to have forgotten some of the basics of integrity and equitable governance and law enforcement.
I sure hope our childrens’ children have better role models for integrity than who seem to be in the public eye today!
This is naive for sure in that there have been profiteers around for as long as there’s been profits to be had, but trying to live by more naive principles may be better than handing the keys over to criminals and those with low integrity.
