Father died with D, mother of AD. I am 72. I don't think a lot of people fully recognize the horror, pain, life changes this infliction causes both the affected person and their families.
People quibble over exact percentages and numbers and lose track of the bottom line: if a reasonably safe drug provides ANY relief at all, even just a modest slowdown, in just one-percent of the cases, it would have a 90% take rate by all who could afford it. THERE ARE NO ALTERNATIVES, and hope is the only thing keeping some families going.
We know Blarcamesine is safe. Every trial shows it is beneficial to at least some trial participants to some degree. This needs to go to market now. It is worth whatever risk someone thinks it would be.
Best wishes.
