But the reality is that some people find out too late, some have different kinds of tumors, and sometimes their tumor is found when something else comes up and just not preserved because that is not part of the current standard procedures. For John McCain, I believe he went in for some other surgery or something, and then they ended up finding and removing his tumor. As this was not part of a standard procedure but in very long trials with only a few doctors and centers, it was normal to put tumors in formaldehyde and send them to pathology. Obviously such a tumor can’t then be used for DCVax-L, it is effectively a lab sample only and is contaminated and no longer usable for human medical purposes.
