If this could somehow reverse the supposed V deletions by some insurers in 2023 then that would be a very good development.

golf stud, I think a settlement with HealthNet could be huge. HealthNet is wholly owned by Centene. Centene is the number 3 largest health insurer in the US right behind UnitedHealthGroup and Anthem. I believe HN got caught with their hand in the cookie jar and were facing a huge financial liability. I believe AMRN has HN over a barrel and the terms of any settlement with HN should heavily favor AMRN and include more than just a financial stipend. What impact will it have for V and GV on HN formularies, other Centene formularies, and other payer formularies going forward? It won’t be business as usual, IMO. At least not for HN/Centene. I believe other payers are guilty of the same or similar formulary practices as HN and could face the same fate if they don’t make adjustments. This settlement has the potential to entice all payers to establish new policies that restrict skinny label prescriptions to their approved indication only. At least that’s how I see it. I could be wrong. Legal and opposing opinions encouraged.
