Lol software is the cause of the battery malfunctions. No, but hopefully the fix they are issuing can help reduce spontaneous combustion incidents. Tesla isnt going to admit directly thats it's EMI thats causing its cars to go out of control and spontaneously combust. But evidence shows it already has indirectly with the Cybertruck.
Also it's a model Y believed to have caused the recent fire in China so they may want to expand the recall to Models 3 & Y.
