I agree that the approval is likely in the context of a rolling submission and the notion that they have not applied yet, but that they know what preconditions are outstanding, I think, indicates that they were well along in that process. This further indicator, I think, also may suggest that if it was provided by the local regulators, as an interim generic name, in lieu of the WHO body, which sounds like it is quite slow. This is not an unusual circumstance, and now with Project Orbis, it is even possible for the local regulators to coordinate on an interim nonproprietary name to avoid confusion.
