One main reason is that I continue to test my own beliefs and doubts by airing them here. When I voice my thoughts about what I think is true - I am often challenged on certain substantive points.
Sometimes I learn something that causes me to change my views. For example, I was pretty sure early on that this is actually a scam. As the months have gone on I have come to think of it more as a sincere long-shot. And more recently, maybe not as long a shot as I had thought.
So much is at stake here, and the position I have taken investment-wise is so unorthodox (even for me) that I want to be very clear on my views, and tweak or even do an about face if new information warrants it. That's why I care if they disagree.
I DO think there are many here who don't believe their money is at risk, and would be shocked if the company fails to deliver anything significant over the next year, and I wouldn't like anybody to lose more money than they can afford, but that is a secondary consideration.
Lastly, I am aware that I abuse my privilege at times and why I do it - it's a personal avoidance/distraction issue, as well as somewhat addictive and sometimes entertaining..but ultimately a lot of wasted time. I apologize for that aspect and will just say I'm trying to get that under better control.
