I'm definitely going out for a walk during the next thunderstorm.

OK, I need to get my son to design a portable lightening rod, need to buy metal boots. Need to be well grounded.

Then walk out in the storm and normally I should feel the static buildup. At least that is what I remember from what they taught me in 9th grade science and that science center in Ottawa.

As it builds, get closer until I can really feel the static electricity buildup, and just stay there.
