Minutes ago I just posted the below comment on Reddit in response to someone posting a different article on the same topic. It would be wild if a paper on LWLG’s technology went viral like this one.

“I purchased the white paper associated with the technology. I’m giving it a read this evening. I’ll report back with my thoughts later. After a skim, I do see them using Mach-Zehnder modulators and they’re limited to 35GHz line spacing/bandwidth. LWLG’s technology could drastically improve upon these results. This technology is basically taking one laser and splitting each wavelength into a “comb” to process the data as compared to laser arrays that have individual lasers for each wavelength. Modulators do the “processing” of this data. In each set up, the number of modulators is the same it appears.”
