This is a situation where you would prefer to have a veteran Andrew Benintendi instead of a rookie
Well, yesterday you had a seasoned veteran and 62 HR guy fitted out for a golden sombrero. You also had a seasoned veteran throw the ball into right field in the 10th, allowing Ramirez to get to third. There really should be a stat called "a Donaldson" which is given for boneheaded plays that don't show up in the box score....things like getting tagged out while in your home run trot or forgetting the number of outs. Really, anything that would make the manager slap a player upside of the head and bench him for a game or 2.
It's a great series that comes down to 3-4 super tense moments per game and seeing who executes. And who fails. It's a very fine line indeed. Look at Cole; he was 1 batter away from disaster in game 1 but he came through. I hope the rest of this series is just as tight because as much as I like the underdog teams like the Phillies, 4-2 is a lot more fun to watch than 9-1.
