all Retail relation was gone the moment AA found a loophole to increase share without shareholder's approval by doing a split as a dividend. with that, he can authorize as many share as he want without share holder's approval and in favor of the hedgefund by helping to drop the price big time. Besides if you think about it, who really owned "APE"? is it Retail or is institution/hedge fund. Sure, Retail own AMC but that doesn't mean they automatically own APE too on the split. think about it.
