Perhaps if Ekman and Per Wold Olen opted to resign in favor of Denner and one of his associates, the election at a special meeting would not be necessary.... and the time and the expense involved in Amarin having such a special meeting would not be wasted during this crucial time period...The shareholders would be grateful for this move.
Unfortunately, Denner's press release confirms my suspicion that KM is a very poor choice as a CEO. The selection of KM (I believe) was mainly made by JT. So now we can ad that to his long list of bad decisions and poor management. My belief remains that only a sale of the company to a competent and motivated BP can salvage the situation. My disdain for the AMRN BOD is now higher than ever. Too bad Denner did not act sooner as he seemed to give AMRN time which (or course) they squandered. Pathetic management.
