I agree there’s a lot to appreciate from those who are not too rigid in their ways and thinking to color outside the lines, or for that matter make to much use and dependence on lines themselves. Much innovation and discovery was probably arrived at accordingly.
The other day I came across a comment about Picasso, something like his genius is in creating a fully interesting image with a minimum of lines. Maybe it was on this board, maybe TV, not sure.
Regarding the question of whether you can have too much of a fine Bordeaux, I think not in the sense of enjoyment, perhaps in the often resulting lack of decorum, although that can be enjoyable mostly by self and perhaps not so much by those around you :-)
In the spirit of experimentation I will soon be opening another fine vintage and I will overindulge for the science. (Is that a form of denial of liking the nectar of the grapes a bit too much? Questions beget more questions, and more wine :-) )
