Look your not winning the game if your starter gives up 7 runs and darvish is pitching on the other side. So the starting pitching was far worse in fact it has been horrible in the 4 biggest games of the year. You have to realize this team is built on there starting pitching, and it has failed every game of the big 4 games and it is getting worse game after game. No excuses tonight I need to see a well pitched game. Not a start where before you blink you put the mets batter fight up hill against LH pitching which is not exactly there strength to hit against.

We knew offense wouldn't be much. The mets have face darvish three times this year. the result 21 ip and 2 er. Look I believe the offense could of done better, but when you give up 7 runs as a starter and don't make it out of the 5th, and give up 4 homeruns, even if the offense was decent they still would of lost. Because decent against the padres with darvish on the mound is 3-5 runs. It really is that simple in my opinion. I get they didn't score 3-5 runs. But to blame the offense and say why didn't you score 8 runs against yu darvish, because if they scored 4 or 1 they still lose. is just the wrong take. You paid this guy 43 million a year to pitch these games, and in the biggest games of the year he stunk. Now how about Degromm who wants to opt out so he can make alot more money, pitch a good game. How about a starter, goes 7 innings and allows 2 runs or less. I was under the impression and statistically i was correct the mets starter were one of the best in baseball, all year how about they pitch a game where I don't feel like I'm watching the washington Nationals pitching staff in my opinion.

There's no doubt Degrom has to hold the Padres to 1 or 2 runs tomorrow

I truely believe degromm will pitch well today though, but if he doesn't this year will be about as painful as 2007. Yes that bad.

Good thing for the Mets that the Wild Card format was changed to winning 2 of 3 games. In the previous 1 game winner takes all format the Mets would have been "one and done".
