That's one interpretation of this hire. Another equally valid interpretation is that they haven't quite worked out all the kinks in their GOO recipe yet and need to bring someone in to help fix things because they keep running into repeated problems.
If the man really has qualities that help LWLG forward, it is a logical step for ML. A company is only as skilled as its employees are skilled. Let's hope he does is homework with HR (Human Resources) as good as his product development.
