On a visceral level, I agree with your’s and Doc’s otherwise seemingly opposing viewpoints. From a purely unemotional perspective, I think ECA probably had to be used for QALY calculations, because it removes confoundment. Thus it’s possible if not likely that had to go first for valuation purposes. Whereas JA might include all TLD findings, which might be great for the public, investors and patients, but not so clean cut for pesky valuations. I suspect the separation of initial primary results from JA was to prevent valuation confoundment.
