I've tried to contact Nick a couple of times since Ian struck, but without any luck. The pier I was posting pictures of is half gone - about 500 feet of it and the two buildings are stripped of everything but parts of the roof. Naples is planning to rebuild the pier. I know Nick's house is several feet above mean high tide so hoping he, his home and his koi all came through this without more than superficial scars. Hoping to make contact with him soon but with electricity out and likely cell towers down it may take a while.
