The doctor's comment that the incidence of Alzheimer's could be reduced by 50 percent if the onset of it was delayed by 5 years as a result of Vascepa is a pretty amazing projection. The people I know who have a history of Alzheimer's in their family and are over age 50 would jump at the chance to take Vascepa and delay the likely onset of it. And anyone who begins noticing even the slightest slump in memory among relatives prone to Alzheimer's will also push their loved ones to start taking Vascepa.
Much easier to sell a drug to patients that have a condition than to promote something that might reduce the chance they get a condition (prevention) as we all know.
It will be much easier to sell Vascepa as a preventive med for Alz., CVD, colon cancer, and other numerous degenerative diseases.
All we need is MITIGATE to reveal the pleiotropic super powers.
