Yes, it absolutely shows the idiocy. If Vascepa helps those with "established" CVD then certainly it should be made available to almost the entire population. Preventing clogged arteries I would think would be easier before they get massively blocked.

But they pay lip service to prevention and don't mimic that with their actions.

Zip. It was a small study with major limitations the results of which were not replicated to the same degree in a similar Viet Nam study .

Coronary artery disease is best prevented by a high veggie , fruit , fish and low red meat diet … with lots of exercise and no smoking.
Rather then letting it develop and then throwing drugs at it

It would be interesting to know - which would be impossible to find out now - how much this was due to stress.
This is a slide presentation by Dr Michael Miller. Look at slides 5-9. Very interesting! Military training is very stressful and then going to war, watching fellow soldiers get killed. Through the roof stress factors here. But, there might have been poor dietary habits as well contributing.
