Hurricane Fiona was still a class 3 hurricane tonight at 7PM Eastern. It's expected to make landfall in Nova Scotia at 7AM Eastern tomorrow morning. Because of the much colder sea water it's expected to drop to 80mph as it spreads out and the winds continue to slow. Damage is still expected from high winds and storm surge.

Tropical depression 9 is now Tropical Storm Hermine. This storm is expected to develop into a category 2-3 hurricane by the time it reaches Florida. This is much better than forecast two days ago as strong cross winds have kept the storm's winds low as it moves north-west and giving it less time to build energy before reaching Florida.
