It's an ugly finish for that final NL wild card. Philly looks downright legit compared to the padres and Brewers, but they gave up a lead in a tight game in Atlanta. The crew has shown some heart tonight to scrap back from a 5 run hole, but it's early. 5 more games against NY teams is a tough schedule.
I still think you got big problems if you're counting on Diaz for saves that start before the 9th. First it's not sustainable over a playoff run. Second, at some point you'll need a pitcher to step up and deliver late in a big game. And right now, Buck's letting the entire bullpen know he has no confidence in any of them. Effective relievers thrive on momentum and this over-reliance on Diaz isn't building much of that.
