By the way, without a W-2 it's going to be tough for employees to even be refunded/get credit for any of THEIR money that was withheld when they were beign paid. Hows that for a double wammy.

market ,

How about COMPLETE "perspective" ?

"Share holders may have lost more $ per person on this mess,"
~ INDEED

"Conservative investors do NOT invest their hard earned (or any other) money in pink sheet stocks."
~ Conservative workers do NOT take up employment on fly by night companies . At least not pass up better employment ops .

"Employees, on the other hand, lost money they had EARNED,,,"
~ THIS is the cruxt of the matter . Monies or bodies , earning is earning . The mantra of so much wisdom here is about "don't invest money you can't aford to lose" .
Just like the employees there was an apparent gamble . And THEY lost too . The thread is supposed to be about the emps having an alternate support system that shareholders DON'T enjoy .

"This happened to them, I will point out, while in the employ of a company YOU OWN!"
~ Apparently not ! ANNNND , they CHOSE to work PAST salaries "for the cause" . If/when the whole thing came apart , WHY should compensation be automatic/guarenteed/expected and the shareholders should just wander away ?

"Some of us can loose a few paychecks and it is inconvienient,,,"
~ And that has what to do with reality ? Losing money because of intentional corruption is an unfair loss to anyone affected .

"I'd be willing to bet most investors have the same income stream as before, unlike YOUR employees."
~ I'd bet that most employees have the same IRA as before , unlike YOUR investors .

I know marketbear and I are on the same side but , I just hate it when people are willing to squash someone on the way to the bank .
I have NEVER thought the employees should lose out , and I diss ANY accepting factor that thinks shareholders somehow deserve what they get .
Sorry , that's just the way it reads when it is (routinely) said , "don't invest money you can't afford to lose" .

the employees had more insight to FAT FRANK and this scam. They could of left many months before FAT FRANK went BK. It was there choice to stay even after they had questions? How many of them got PLAZMA tvs?

What you must consider marketbear is that the trading company was TMM. No one here invested in QTN. QTN is not publicly traded. So imagine how it felt for TMM shareholders to discover that they were footing QTN's bills for absolutely nothing in return but dilution of their TMM investment? TMM investors were completely defrauded like QTN employees were.

Thanks, Bear, for sticking up for us.

I think you pretty much summed up the arguements, but I really wouldn't waste my time with a couple of ignorant people looking for drama on the boards. These are variations (although, interesting enough, polar opposite) of the attacks on us ex-employees claiming we're only complaining because the supposed "gravy train" ran out. I just can't believe anyone is that cold, that stupid or that selfish, I just can't.

We've all been burned here by Team Olsen/Team Fan and the Big Q Scam. We all want answers. We all want justice. I want to see you guys receive some satisfaction just as much as I want the employees to. And, by the way, since it was my original posting that was supposedly the basis for them slamming the employees - my posting said NOTHING...wait, they're a little slow, let me be clearer, N-O-T-H-I-N-G to indicate the investors were any less than the employees. There wasn't even anything in there that could have been taken wrong. That's why someone looking to attack the employees, looking to start a fight on the boards, looking to bog down the topic in b.s. (perhaps someone working on behalf of Fan or Olsen, hmmmmmmm) materialized that comment out of thin air.

But on the subject, Bear hit the nails on the heads. Who is stupid enough to rationalize that $600k being less than $100M equals investors were hurt more, f' the employees?!?? You know what, if you REALLY believe that, read the complaint and take a good look at what most of the employees were making. These folks didn't have jack sh** to invest in anything, so you can NOT begin to imagine how badly they were hurt by losing two paychecks. We had folks who lost everything, folks completely financially devestated. Someone making $500 PER WEEK is hard pressed to survive on that money ANYWHERE, never mind in L.A., which is outrageously expensive. A lot of the guys were brought in from the old studio in Texas, a lot were right out of school with little experience and few contacts.

You can NOT compare making the decision to invest in a company to accepting employment from a company. If they are the same, then look at your own endless bitching and tell me WHY the government requires companies to deliver on pay for work done, but the government does not require companies to return a profit on an investment?!?? What's that, they're ticked off we were able to file complaints with a government agency, but the investors don't have anyone looking out for their money? HI - IT'S CALLED THE SEC!!!!! The informed investors on these boards seem to know that and I read a bunch about people making complaints to the SEC about this Q scam. What POS Frank and his pals did to all of you was wrong and deserves to be investigated just as much as we deserve to get our pay.

My favorite part is how the "economy is doing great" and apparently high-paying jobs are now growing on trees in Southern California, giving everyone SO MANY choices. Really? I didn't realize that! WOW! I very much wanted out of the job I was in prior to QTN and had been looking FOR OVER THREE YEARS for something that would allow me to leave. Just like you investors, we had a total sham presented to us in order to get us in the door. To make things even more appealing for us production folk, they were using the very good reputation the Media City guys had to sooth any concerns we might have had (little did we know...). Hell, we even came back from the Christmas hiatus thinking things were good for the company.

I sat in an office with our "Executive in Charge of Production" three weeks before the first shutdown in January, where I was told more money was coming in, new shows would be starting, I was going to be getting a raise (even though I had made a point that I wasn't asking for one) and would be given a chance to start directing with the new shows. Should THAT have tipped me off that the company was about to shut down and stiff me on a month's pay? Seriously?

Oh, enough of all this, it's pointless and we've been through it all before. The people who are blaming the ex-employees (non-Team Olsen/Team Fan) or attacking us with statements implying we knew what we were getting into and got what we deserved are either trying to create some drama or are such morons that no one will make them see how idiotic the statements they are making sound. Either way, they aren't worth the time or energy.

For the rest of you (AGAIN), I hope you get yours just as much as I hope we get ours. I've never indicated differently.

Chris
