''He obviously has a low opinion of the intelligence of penny players.''
I have the same conclusion/opinion.
OrthoBuddy and I distinguish two components to smartitude: (1) knowledge and (2) mental horsepower aka intelligence/IQ. One needs both elements in order to be considered smart. An individual can be smart in one arena and unsmart in another.
I cannot paint, draw, or sculpt. Butt put me in a wet lab and I have hands of gold (nott the diamond hands of the AFRM guy who lost his ass and did Youtube videos that I hove previously posted links for here). If I tried to learn to be an artist, I still believe I would struggle in that endeavor. I have poor art intelligence.
I have very little knowledge about art and art history. I have a low level of art knowledge. That I could improve with study.
So, with regard to specific subject areas anyone can acquire knowledge, butt the mental horsepower one has in said area is, IMO, mostly fixed by the time one becomes an adult. Low mental horsepower also means learning (acquiring and maintaining knowledge) is more difficult and slow.
Pennystock playahs on average seem to have both low mental horsepower and low knowledge in the arena of finance and investment. They are nott only unintelligent, butt also ignorant in that arena.
