It certainly sounds like newer formulations/processes mitigate many (all?) of the issues.
One caveat: I’m not convinced it’s net cheaper than aluminum at this point, or it would be more used, but we’ll see. Perhaps it has just reached parity, or maybe it’s coming soon. That would be an awesome development, as aluminum is everywhere. I do hear titanium is a b*tch to machine, so I take your point in that regard.
Above it all, one thing’s for sure: a *lot* of time, energy, brain power, and money has been investing in making Liquidmetal mass production a reality, and the investments appear to be increasing, not decreasing. Behind it all is an unflagging vision and that vision is backed by massive resources. That’s the most promising deet of them all.
