I buy most all of your arguments as I believe you are an industry veteran. But can you explain, since we all consider Reduce-It a gold standard clinical trial, how clinicians view it?
Oh really ...I was in a CV clinical trial at UCSF . I was also in a follow up study ( just for gathering more data ) at UCSF on the first statin BEFORE it was approved .
I was required to have liver AST and ALT tests every month at UCSF because in those day pre approval ...they were concerned about liver damage .
I had a Cardiologist call me once a month during this time to chk for muscle cramps ...as part of this expanded trial follow up . I was also interviewed for the REDUCE IT Trial but could not keep my LDL below 100 mg/dl despite max dose Crestor ( the strongest stain )
My wife also worked on Kidney disease trials while at Yale ...so yeah ... I know nothing about clinical trials U think !
