Definitely agree with this 100%.

You don't want the trial to go to verdict, you want to settle, "pay to delay" as they like to call it.
Maybe there was some backstory we don't know about, perhaps Amarin was too confident about their chances, or Hikma wanted more than what Amarin was willing to pay. Whatever the case you have to do what you can not to go to trial or if it does settle before the verdict. Even if you feel your chances are very good you don't want to take any chances especially if you are talking about your one and only drug.
They settled with Teva and Apotex, things must have been different with Hikma.

I was watching and waited until after they lost to buy in, and still got screwed lol.

Biggest mistake imho was not having Dr Bhatt chk the statistical data in the Mori trial … before the trial went to court.

His analysis after the trial showed the Mori conclusion were due to a common statistical mistake

Kiwi
