France is a tinderbox at the moment. They say we will probably have thunderstorms tonight. People seem to think this is a good thing until I tell them that 90PCT of forest fires in Canada are created by lightening strikes.

Hell, I was somewhere in Colorado on a motorcycle trip and witnessed a lightening strike by a rogue cloud. The mountain caught fire. 10 miles later I found a town and stopped off to tell someone that a fire had started and maybe they should call the fire department.

Guy tells me "I'm sure they are already aware of it" and walks off.

OK, if the citizens don't care, why should I?

Heading out of town I saw a building with 2 police cars in front. Other than the cars, there was no real way to know it was a police station. So I stopped, and went in, explained the fire, they thanked me and then proceeded to inspect my identification and the motorcycle.

I have no idea if they ever bothered to call the fire department.

It's so damned hot that I haven't really been outside much this weekend.

So I've been listening to LPs that I haven't listened to in maybe 30 years. Heavy metal stuff. Out of curiosity I checked out the prices for each one I listened to. Using the asking prices as a gauge, I got about $3,000 worth of headbanger shit.

Well, too late, will have to wait for next year, the largest heavy metal concert in Europe takes place about 20km from my house every year;
