It’s my understanding that OneChipPhotonics was a privately owned company established in 2005 and engaged in the commercialisation of its IP for for low cost indium phosphide photonics integrated circuits. It was backed by two world class venture capitalist companies GrowthWorks and North Water. In 2013 these two venture capitalist companies asked Lebby to become CEO. In 2015 Lebby decided to join LWLG because of its potentially disruptive technology and market opportunities in photonics . I am very happy Lebby made that decision. I think it’s great to have a CEO at the helm of LWLG who carries with him the experience of indium phosphide photonics integrated circuits as well. Here (in the Netherlands ) there are many start ups using indium phosphide for their applications and photonics integrated circuitries Some will succeed, some will no doubt go belly up. OneChipCompany by the way is no longer active.

Lebby was hired and asked to liquidate the company because he was so knowledgeable about the products.
