TWA,

There is a difference between Energy Density and Power Density. That's why Michael Kraft stated that Power Density matters because you can build a smaller, lighter weight, Li Ion battery and get more more power out of it, than a larger, heavier, Li Ion battery.

The CHS precursor that CRTG has developed will deliver much more power via a Li Ion battery that is half the size and weight of current EV Li Ion batteries. This will be done via building a synthetic Solid Electrolyte Interphase (SEI) utilizing Nanotechnology. The artificial SEI will alleviate the swelling and fracture that occurs with current Li Ion EV batteries.

"In fact, energy density and power density are very different things. The energy density relates to the amount of energy that can be stored per battery unit, whereas power density relates to the maximum amount of energy that can be discharged per battery unit. Although energy density is the most commonly used measurements to determine battery performance, power density is still an important metric to consider when talking about energy systems. Understanding the relationship between these two things is essential as it helps in determining what type of battery is necessary for different products."
