With this concept it actually will do away with the average mechanic and use more of the computer type repairs which will mean more cost for maintenance since every time something goes wrong it will require a trip to the dealer. No more DIY oil changes, Battery replacement, Belts, etc etc. Now depending on the technology you may still be able to do a brake job or suspension repairs. Sure if all else fails you can still change the wiper blades.
Maybe not, but I fully expect vehicles to charge while being driven. There are too many moving parts not to generate energy. I see that as the next break through.
