Silkworms are being raised very successfully on specially made silkworm chow that only uses a little bit of mulberry for flavoring. No need to create a special worm. Babei has been doing it for years.

Would take millions of dollars to set up infrastructure in US. Where do think that money would come from? You already had a cow when Kim was going to try and get $24 million. Accused him of a big money grab. Going to take a lot more than that to set up any sizable domestic production.

KBLB was very smart to use third party contractor instead of trying to produce the cocoons themselves. Going to require a whole lot less overhead.
