jealmc79, "KBLB was very smart to use third party contractor instead of trying to produce the cocoons themselves. Going to require a whole lot less overhead."

I fully agree.

"Silkworms are being raised very successfully on specially made silkworm chow that only uses a little bit of mulberry for flavoring."

we are not talking about feeding mundane silkworms...high quality food produces better silk...i really dont think using mulberry tasting kibble is the answer...i think creating a new line of worms that can thrive on some other substance is the way to go...

kblb has been genetically modifying worms for 12 years now...so it isnt anything new, out of the ordinary (for them) or impossible...

you use mulberry flavored kibble when you have no other choice...

"Would take millions of dollars to set up infrastructure in US."

when you are doing it in pursuit of billions of dollars, it doesnt sound like much at all...

"You already had a cow when Kim was going to try and get $24 million."

when the company had no product and wasnt close to producing anything and was dead broke and looking to do a 1-100 r/s and then somehow pulling $24 mil from no where?...yea...i was kinda against that...

now is not then...if we get to a dollar per share, and are cranking out products and booking revenue, i would have NO problem with a $25 mil offering...

"Going to take a lot more than that to set up any sizable domestic production."

so what?...thats what offerings are for...loans...etc...it takes money to make money...that aint news...

"KBLB was very smart to use third party contractor instead of trying to produce the cocoons themselves"

my assumption was that kim, being so secretive and paranoid, would never go for it...i suspect he had to be dragged into it kicking and screaming by rice, bruce lee, the kings group, Maxim, yorkville, and maybe a horses head in his bed...

"Going to require a whole lot less overhead."

sure i guess...but for me, its the speed at which progress will now proceed...we are going to move forward at lightspeed compared to what was going to happen without the contractor(s)...
