Pit- I agree with you. Selfishly it is good for us if it passes, but why the corporate welfare for the chip industry which is one of the most profitable industries in the world? Taxing Jane and Joe public to give money to companies that make billions and billions in profit isn’t the way to go. The govt should get warrants or some equity upside to any of this. There are companies screaming for more chips. The demand is there. Therefore the supply should be easily financed privately. It’s the same lunacy here where people who buy $75k Tesla’s get a $12k tax credit.
