Well I guess i need a few beers to ff your logic as the basis of REDUCE-IT was use with a statin -

there is a significant subset of CVR patients who can't tolerate statins.

There was no statin intolerant group in REDUCE - IT- there should have been but there wasn't so all we have now is a med that is added to a statin ( unless used for VHT)
